Clothing and Gear for performing volunteer work
- Sturdy shoes- waterproof (if possible) and good for hiking in rough terrain
- Long pants (consider pants that are sinched at the ankles)
- Short sleeve and long sleeve shirts that can get dirty
- Moisture wicking socks to avoid
- Hat for sun protection
- Bandana or cooling towel
- Day Pack (such as a backpack) to carry your water and your lunch to sites
- Dry Bag to separate clothes/swimsuit in backpack on work days
Clothing and Gear for camp, recreation, beaches
- Swimming suit(s) and rash guard for sun protection/warmth in water
- Towel- consider lightweight beach towels or Turkish towels for the beach or shower
- Snorkel gear (can also be rented locally upon arrival approx. $45 rental)
- Toiletries (biodegradable/organic if possible the water from the bathhouse is returned directly to the earth)
- Medications and Prescriptions (a first aid kit will be provided for at camp and at worksites)
- Casual clothes for dinners at local restaurants
- Lightweight lounging clothes (to cover your skin a little more for the bugs at dusk)
- Cell Phone/Camera with solar charger or extra battery pack in case of power outage
- Lightweight Sleeping Bag or Summer Sleeping Bag Throw or Light Throw Blanket, others also bring a sheet that’s been transformed into a sleeping bag.
- Camping Pillow or Bed Pillow
- Camping Mat (personal preference to add cushion to the cot)
- Bug Spray (only if you have a preference, camp will also have this for in the evenings)

- Personal Identification Items: Driver’s License, Passport (if you have one), Medical Insurance Card
- Flashlight/Headlamp with extra batteries
- Watch/charger if you use one
- Money/Credit Cards - combination of both cash and credit/debit card is best. There are ATM’s on the island
- Small personal first aid kit items you prefer
- 2 water bottles – or a backpack with an internal bladder (like a camelback) and 1 water bottle for at camp
- Sandals with backs for beach and water hikes. Footwear for lounging at camp or the beach
- Other items you might desire: Beach Bag, A good book for down time, Hammock for lounging, Beach toy etc.
